3 Minute Sensations--Part 2
October 24, 2004
BY JASON SONGE
My friend told me the 3 Minute Sensations had improved, so there I was last night at the Circle Bar for another round of their garage rock. Whaddaya know? They were better. They even changed their sound. This time around the songs were more in the vein of The Clash than the MC5 or The Vines. In addition, their pianist was substituted with another guitarist, and it worked! Who says you need bass?
The band was tight, so I applaud drummer Marie Bourgeois for practicing and honing her skills since the band's last performance. Guitarist/vocalist Nicholas Snow also improved his vocal attack. This time around he seemed emotionally immersed in the songs. He stood with confidence at the microphone.
Check them out.
